Very simply, the core objectives are:

• Encourage couples to invest in their relationship
• Improve the quality of relationships in couples and families

MarriageWeek, an independant association in Switzerland, aims to promote healthy and durable relationships for couples and families. The relationship between a man and a woman, a lifestyle chosen by a large number of citizens, has it's own distinctives and merits focussed attention.

To accomplish this goal, the association will :

• Organise a week each year with the purpose of reinforcing couples in their relationship, and in particular married couples.
• Communicate information that helps understand and improve personal relationships.
• Encourage other institutions and groups to initiate activities in harmony with the goal.

MarriageWeek is dedicated to helping couples live out the dream that they started out with: a long and fruitful relationship. Couples do not marry with the idea of getting divorced later on. Instinctively there is recognition that a long term stable relationship is desirable, and social research demonstrates that the stable marriage relationship has lots of long term advantages.
